mount peru + relapse in dirtytown

i was at the middle east upstairs the other night for the mount peru record release show....my buddy tom (who's been a fixture in the boston music scene forever) heads up a fairly new line up in his ever evolving band, and i'm happy to say they've got their sound dialed! the show was in support of their new record "my sweetheart the destroyer", which they are putting out themselves in raw cardboard digipack with hand done stenciling. very nice indeed, we appreciate such efforts round here.






we were also over to the 119 gallery in lowell for the "relapse" art show opening, currated by are good friend tony le. thanks to tony and 119 for bringing a great group of friends/artists together for an entirely black and white show. we drank beers and hung out all night....on display thru 1/27, turn off the t.v. and go check out some art for chissake! (and donate a fin while your there.)
